Galaxy is a super handsome 1 year old medium haired tuxedo male who was smart enough to wander into the yard of a 4Paws volunteer after a really bad tail injury. 4Paws rushed him to the vet to get medical care and were able to get the remainder of the the dying portion of his tail amputated before the injury became life threatening. Now, he has a 4 inch little puffy bobtail which is as cute as can be! While it seemed that Galaxy must have been living outside for quite some time, he turned out to be a very friendly guy who loves to be INSIDE. Galaxy is comfortable around people and other cats, and he is a pretty chill and relaxed boy. He lets his human friends hold him and carry him, and he is content to sit in a lap. He is kind of snuggly in the bed, but he also finds it exciting to chase the parts of the human that move around under the covers. Galaxy is a confident guy and is mildly on the dominant side. In sharing a foster home with 15 other cats, he gets along well with everyone except the two cats who are scared of him and run away - that makes him want to chase them even more. He is best buddies with all the other 1 yr old males in the house, and he LOVES his younger Girl Scout Cookie siblings (who were rescued a couple of months after him). Galaxy would do great as an only cat, and he would likely do ok with playful and reasonably confident (but non-competitive) other cats so long as introductions were properly handled. We believe he could do well with kids and with cat-friendly dogs, though he has not had any recent exposure to either. Galaxy is neutered, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, current on vaccines, and healthy. He had some phantom pain after his tail amputation and still experiences it occasionally, but it is definitely healing and wont be an issue much longer. He is eager to find a loving and affectionate FOREVER HOME!
